The Rite-Way Story

As children Cody and Josh learned to detail from their grandfather, Jim. He taught them to take pride in your ride and that taking care of your vehicles made them last longer. Many summer nights were spent washing, waxing and treating the interiors with Armor All. This love of cars spiraled into teenage years when the boys worked at carwashes. Cody opened his first detail shop in partnership with the Forster’s Car Wash Company in 2006 after graduating high school while attending business school. Josh went on to achieve a degree in automotive refinishing. The first Rite-Way was founded in 2011 as an Auto Glass and Detailing Company by Cody and was located in Lake Orion. Just 1 year later he moved the shop to partner with Cal’s Auto Wash in Romeo before moving to 28 and Vandyke for the company’s first stand alone shop. Here the company saw much success, built their team and expanded their knowledge. After working years in the body shops prepping, sanding, and polishing vehicles Josh united back with the team and brought a whole new level of paint corrections and experience to the game. Rite-Way joined the Opti-Coat team to offer the ultimate in ceramic coatings to their customers. Just a few short years later the boys were ready for their next expansion which lead them to the current location on 32 mile in beautiful Romeo, Michigan. Here they outfitted their new gigantic space with over 750,000 lumens of color correcting lighting making their shop brighter than a surgical room. Armed with professional steam cleaners, top of the line polishing equipment and years of experience the team now details over 300 cars monthly.
