Ceramic Coating in Macomb County

A ceramic coating puts a hard, glass-like layer over your factory clear coat. Water and road grime bead up and sheet off instead of soaking in, paint holds its color and gloss longer under direct sun, and washing gets noticeably easier because dirt does not grip bare clear coat the way it does on an unprotected car. In Michigan, where your paint deals with months of road salt and months of strong summer sun every year, that protection matters more than it does in milder climates.
We install three coating lines, each suited to a different kind of owner and a different kind of driving.
Starting at $1,400. Exact pricing depends on your vehicle size and which coating and tier you choose, shown below.

What's Included

Every Opti-Coat package includes the same thorough prep and finishing process, not just the coating application itself:

Pro Plus additionally includes standard exterior detailing and paint correction as part of the package.

Opti-Coat

Opti-Coat is our standard ceramic coating line, available in three tiers depending on how much protection and longevity you want. Ultra Shine and Pro give you strong day-to-day protection and gloss, while Pro Plus is our longest-lasting Opti-Coat option for owners who want to go as long as possible between reapplications.

Avant Guard Formula 1051

Built specifically for daily drivers. Formula 1051 is rated safe for regular drive-through and touchless car washes, which matters if your car needs to get the salt washed off quickly and often through a Michigan winter, not just on a free Sunday afternoon.

Icon Rocklear

Our top-tier coating, for owners who want the longest-lasting, most serious level of protection we offer and are comfortable being a little more careful about wash habits in exchange for it.

Which Coating Is Right for You?

It comes down to how you actually use the car. If it is a daily driver that needs to survive winter and frequent automatic washing, Avant Guard Formula 1051 is usually the right call. If you want maximum, longest-lasting protection and are willing to be more careful about how you wash it, Icon Rocklear is worth a look. If you want strong, reliable protection at a lower price point, Opti-Coat covers that range across its three tiers. Driving a Tesla? Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the coating and tier. Opti-Coat runs 2 years (Ultra Shine), 5 years (Pro), or 7 years (Pro Plus). Avant Guard Formula 1051 carries a 10-year warranty, and Icon Rocklear is backed by up to a 15-year warranty through Rite-Way's standard program.

It depends on which coating you choose. Avant Guard Formula 1051 is specifically rated for frequent automatic washing. Opti-Coat's manufacturer warranty specifically excludes damage caused by manual or automatic wash brushes, so we recommend hand washing or touchless automatic washes for Opti-Coat tiers to keep the warranty fully intact. Icon Rocklear tolerates automatic washing day-to-day but carries the same brush-wash warranty exclusion.

No. Ceramic coating is a hard protective layer for gloss, UV resistance, and easier washing, but it will not stop a rock chip or deep scratch. If you want impact protection, pair it with paint protection film.

If your paint already has swirl marks, light scratches, or oxidation, paint correction first will give you a better result, since the coating locks in whatever condition the paint is in underneath it. Note that Pro Plus already includes paint correction as part of the package.
