What Makes Icon Rocklear Different
Most ceramic coatings are a thin layer that gives you water beading, gloss, and some UV protection. Icon Rocklear’s extra thickness means a meaningfully harder, more durable shell on top of your paint. Regular washing with mild soap and water is all the coating really needs. You can also feel comfortable taking your vehicle through a local automated car wash. It's not our top recommendation, and it may occasionally cause light scratches or swirl marks to show up on top of the coating over time, but unlike a traditional ceramic coating, those light imperfections can be polished out and corrected rather than being permanent. One thing worth knowing: damage caused by automatic, handheld, or spinning-brush car washes falls outside what's covered under the manufacturer warranty, so while it's not a big deal cosmetically, it's still on you to have it corrected rather than covered as a warranty claim.
Icon Rocklear's manufacturer coverage runs from 5 years up to lifetime depending on the duration registered at install. Rite-Way's standard program backs the coating with up to a 15-year warranty, which gets set up and activated at your required 31-day post-install inspection. If your paint has existing swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation, paint correction first will give you a better result, since the coating locks in whatever condition is underneath it.
