Stealth PPF
Some owners do not want their car to shine. They want it to disappear into the road in the best way, with a flat, low-key finish that still looks intentional and clean. Stealth PPF gives you that matte or satin look while protecting your paint the same way clear film does.
Rite-Way Auto Reconditioning installs matte and satin paint protection film for Macomb County drivers who want a stealthy aesthetic without giving up real rock chip and road debris protection.
A Different Look, the Same Protection Underneath
Stealth PPF is built on the same film technology as our clear PPF, just with a matte or satin top layer instead of gloss. We install matte film from both XPEL (XPEL Stealth) and STEK (DYNOmatte), and both absorb impacts from rocks and road debris the same way standard clear film does, and can be installed in the same coverage levels: partial front, full front, track pack, or full vehicle. The only real difference is the finish.
Why Drivers Choose Stealth Over Clear
Some vehicles, especially darker colors or factory matte finishes, look better with a satin or matte film than a glossy clear one. If your car already has a matte factory finish, clear PPF would actually add unwanted shine. Stealth film keeps the look you bought the car for while still protecting it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Stealth PPF changes the finish of whatever panel it covers to a matte or satin look, so this is a deliberate cosmetic choice as well as a protective one.
Yes, and this is actually one of the most common uses. It protects a factory matte finish without adding gloss the way clear film would.
Yes, both the XPEL and STEK matte films we install are self-healing, the same as their clear counterparts. Light scratches and swirl marks in the film disappear with heat from the sun or warm water. STEK's matte film activates self-healing at a slightly lower heat threshold than XPEL's.
The same coverage levels as our clear film: partial front, full front, track pack, and full vehicle.
Lifespan and warranty terms follow whichever brand you choose. XPEL Stealth carries the same proven, long-term performance as XPEL's clear film line. STEK DYNOmatte carries STEK's standard 10-year warranty, extendable to 12 years with STEK's Final Coat ceramic top coat. We will confirm exact warranty terms for your chosen brand before installation.
